We are a passionate, praying church based in Sydney and we desire to see God move powerfully both locally and globally in the nations.
His Story Church was birthed 16 years ago by Pastor Joshua Park who had a fervent desire to raise disciples who will go all in for the advancement of God's Kingdom.
The mission statement of our church is to "Walk with God, do His will."
Our vision is to "train and equip the next generation army of God to finish the mission."
So our heart is set on missions and raising up the next generation.
HISTORY
THE MOMENTS
Every step of our journey has been a gift from God, walking hand-in-hand with Him.
These key moments form our spiritual heritage—a legacy we proudly pass down to the next generation.
Here are the miraculous milestones that have shaped who we are:
1. Pre-History
(2001 – 2007)
: The Unprecedented Revival of
'Brotherly Love Church'
Birthed in 2001 from one family’s faithful prayers for Sydney’s international students, this movement saw unprecedented growth—expanding to 300 people within three years and over 1,000 young adults within seven. Thousands were transformed annually, with over 1,000 baptised by Pastor Joshua Park, earning the revival a special feature series in the Christian Review. In August 2007, as Pastor Park prepared to transition to the mission field, God clearly redirected his steps to plant a new church right here in Sydney.
2. The Founding of the Church
(9 May 2009)
: A New Vision Begins
Shifting from young adult evangelism to a strategic mandate to raise a 'mighty spiritual army', His Story Church held its inaugural service on 9 May 2009. We answered the call to train and deploy strong, consecrated leaders whom God could use freely in this generation.
4.The Lidcombe
Church Era
: A Decade of Expanding
Borders and Unity
Our decade in Lidcombe brought massive milestones: building a sanctuary, running BT rallies, hosting the Menaky Mission Conference, navigating COVID-19, and purchasing a new property. Deepened by extended corporate fasting, we launched
the '40-Day United Prayer Meetings', uniting 20 to 30 Sydney Korean churches annually. This era also birthed Indigenous ministries and annual outback outreaches to support the House of Prayer in Orange
(led by Pastor Daesup Yoon).
3. The Homebush
Factory Era
: A Spark Lit from Nothing
After a month of prayer in Pastor Joshua Park’s home, we miraculously secured an old factory building in Homebush. Immersed in daily worship, all-night vigils, and dawn prayers,
we pioneered under the banners of
'The Tabernacle of David',
'Revival in Australia', and
'The Kingdom Alliance', travelling across major Australian cities
to intercede for national revival.
5. The Granville Church Era (Present)
: Deepening Our Spiritual Family
Now in Granville, God continues
to bring precious believers who share our spiritual DNA.
Together, we are anchoring into a mature, unified community under one God, one vision, and one calling.

WHAT WE EXPECT
His story is still being written. We are genuinely excited about the future and what lies ahead as we continue our mission.
-
Stepping Out in Faith
We want to keep moving forward rather than just looking back at what we have already achieved. We will continue to pray, listen to God's guidance, and welcome new opportunities with faith.
-
Expanding Our Global Missions
Building on our meaningful mission work in the Middle East and North Africa, we plan to share the gospel further, expanding our reach into Europe, South Korea, and other parts of the world.
-
Developing Leaders and Resources
We are dedicated to raising up capable, practical leaders who can guide our community. We also hope to see a steady growth in the spiritual and practical resources needed to support this vision.
-
A Movement Across Australia
We desire to see a genuine spiritual awakening right here in Australia, making our community a strong base for sending people out to help and serve others globally.
-
Empowering the Next Generation
We look forward to seeing our young people grow in both their faith and practical skills. Our goal is to equip them to effectively share God's love with communities around the world that have not yet heard it.
